Thunderous Waterfall
The American Falls as seen from the Canadian side of the Niagara River. The falls were formed about 12,000 years ago by melting glaciers that also created the Great Lakes. As water from Lake Erie flows toward Lake Ontario, it continues to carve into the Niagara escarpment. I know a picture does not do justice to the size and sound. You really need the constant roar in dolby theater-style surround sound that takes your breath away to feel the enormous power of the falls. It was worth the trip.
