New Hampshire Country Lane

Autumn along a quiet country lane in New England. Traveling the roadways that meander through rural New England gave me a sense of how difficult it was for early European settlers to create a homestead where crops could be grown and life could flourish. They were hardy and I can imagine thankful for every successful day. (Whitefield, New Hampshire).
