Maine’s Unforgiving Coastline

Atlantic Ocean overlook near Blackwoods Campground – Acadia National Park. When I look out over the granite and basalt igneous rock that makes up Acadia’s shoreline, I love the rugged appearance and wild nature of the coast. It would not be an easy journey to walk very far, so we just made ourselves comfortable at this outlook. (Mt. Desert, Maine)
