Wisconsin’s Homegrown J Henry Bourbon

This remote farm was transformed in 2008 from long-time seed corn grower to renowned bourbon producer. The J Henry & Sons Farm happens to be directly across the road from the Jackson family farm where I grew up and is where I detasseled seed corn for $1.10/hour during my middle school summers (i.e. a classic work-ethic-building experience for Wisconsin tweens). These stone gates are unchanged for over 56 years and are the same as when I was in 7th grade and rode my bike up this driveway to work in the morning. (Dane, Wisconsin)
