Denali stands tall

Denali! “The High One!”

“The High One.” Deenaalee, in the language of the native Alaskan Koyukon. At 20,308′ above sea level, a look at the highest point in North America as seen from the Savage Alpine Trail, nearly 60 miles distant. Since only 30% of the visitors to this area get to see the mountain because of clouds and weather, you can imagine how thrilled I was to have a day to capture this shot. The peak is truly mindboggling as it dominates its surroundings, even at such a long distance away. (Denali National Park, Alaska)
