Footbridge Over Minnehaha Creek

The Minnehaha Creek meanders from Lake Minnetonka to the Mississippi River. “Minne” comes from Minnesota’s first people, the Dakota, and means water. Very appropriate for the land of 10,000 lakes and many, many ponds, lakes, creeks and rivers. I am always amazed at how well the Twin Cities makes everyone feel close to nature and the water. Parks are everywhere, and whether walking along a stream or sailing on a lake, you see people out enjoying the environment. (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
