Snowy Lake Louise Surrounded by Canadian Rockies

A frozen Lake Louise with the Fairmont Chateau in the foreground. The glaciers have receded significantly over the past 50 years, yet the surrounding snowy Canadian Rockies towering over the scene make this truly a winter wonderland within Banff National Park. It was a snowy day when I took this shot from the Lake Louise Ski Area across the valley. The little lake and chateau in the middle of all these mountains seemed like it should be preserved in a snow globe for all to enjoy. (Lake Louise, Alberta)
