High alpine lakes capture the last remaining melting snow near Trail Ridge Road – Rocky Mountain National Park. I hear a song coming on: “He was born in the summer of his twenty seventh year, coming home to a place he’d never been before…” It’s hard for me to not begin singing that song whenever we drive through the Colorado Rockies.
