Ottawa River

Two Provinces at Deux-Rivières

Cattails along the shore of the Ottawa River, which separates Quebec and Ontario here at Lacroix Park. The name Deux-Rivières refers to the exact meeting point where the Maganasipi River flows into the Ottawa River, thus two provinces and two rivers is an appropriate title for this capture. Getting up close enough to the cattails to afford the wide-angle shot of the background was a bit of a challenge. The good news is I did not fall in. The better news is a shot I think has a nice feeling of calm and serenity. (Deux-Rivières, Ontario)
