American Coots Huddle Together

American Coots gather on Lake Wisconsin ahead of the migration south. The contrasting charcoal-gray body and stark white bill make these little guys very distinctive. I hope they have a safe trip and I’m thankful for so many different migratory birds and ducks stopping by each year. (Lodi, Wisconsin)
