Mackinac Island Harbor Overlook

Marquette Park and Lake Shore Drive on Mackinac Island with Lake Huron in the background . Note: Whether it’s spelled Mackinac, as in Island or Bridge, or Mackinaw, as in City, it’s pronounced the same way, with an “aw” at the end. As a teenager, I always remember this park as such a calming spot on the edge of the very busy main downtown district, where tourists, horses and bikes would completely fill the streets.
