Morning Mist on Cave Bluff

Warm lake water on a cool morning often produces lake effect mist. Cave Bluff is one hundred acres of privately owned publicly accessible land along Lake Wisconsin with hiking trails and active prairie restoration in progress. It even has its own lookout tower with views of Okee Bay and the Merrimac railroad bridge. I was able to capture this shot just before sunrise. The layering effect with mist between the trees sporting their autumn colors with just a hint of morning sunlight caught my attention. I think it creates a feeling of morning calmness – Cave Bluff Conservancy. (Lodi, Wisconsin)
