Alpine Meadow Along the Alaska Railroad

The Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Denali traverses many scenic vistas. Around each bend another picture emerges. The vastness of the territory is sometimes overwhelming but always breathtaking. Hanging out the back of our train car, I kept clicking away. It was cold, windy and sometimes a little bumpy. But it was a very productive day. This image with the ponds, meadows, trees, mountains, and those awesome clouds was a complete chance shot at 50 mph. Had to keep the shutter fast enough to prevent blurring. (Cantwell, Alaska)
