Ottawa Canel Bridge

Ottawa’s Flora Footbridge

The Flora Footbridge over the Rideau Canal in Canada’s capital city of Ottawa. The canal is a series of canals and natural waterways which begins at the Ottawa River and finishes in Lake Ontario at Kingston. The 202 km (125 mile) canal was completed in 1832 as a military safeguard for Canada following the War of 1812. Today it is used recreationally and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I love the lines of the bridge, and the landscaping added to the calming effect. (Ottawa, Ontario)
