Silver Light on the Atlantic

Looking east into the mid-morning sun over the vast Atlantic Ocean from Cadillac Mountain – Acadia National Park. I am drawn to the contrasting light of this image. The sun is high enough that it is not in the image, yet the silver reflection off the ocean creates a perfect backdrop for the spruce trees lined up across the ridge. And yet, not to be forgotten, is the rolling pink Cadillac Mountain Granite in the foreground. This is a place where I feel you could just sit and dream about life all morning. (Bar Harbor, Maine)
