Big City – Natural Beauty
The Flora Footbridge over the Rideau Canal in Canada’s capital city of Ottawa. The canal is actually a series of canals and natural waterways which begins at the Ottawa River and finishes in Lake Ontario at Kingston. The 202 km (125 mile) canal was completed in 1832 as a military safeguard for Canada following the War of 1812. Today it is used recreationally and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (Ottawa, Ontario)
